Rules
& Playing Conditions This
is an opportunity for you to heighten your interest in the performances of
Sewerby Cricket Club, and have a chance to win a cash prize. How
to Play All
you need to do is pick a team of 7 players from the list on the back page. These players will score points for you
based on their performances during the season in York & District Senior
League Div 2 and Scarborough Beckett League Div 4. Competition
begins: Saturday 6th May (NB: second league
game for both teams) Games
Counting for points: All 1st team league
games except the first game. (Allows time to enter) All
2nd team league games(except the first one) plus all Cayley Cup games (due to
1st team playing more league games) Other
games will not count for this competition. Your
team must consist of 3 Batsmen, 2 Bowlers and 2 All-rounders, and must not
exceed a rating of 40 points. To the
best of our knowledge, the player list contains players that will be available
for selection at the start of the season.
It does not mean that they will be guaranteed a place in a team! Scoring

are scored in the following way: Batting: Each 10 runs +1pt Bonuses: 50-99rns +1pts 100or more +5pts Bowling: Each wicket +1pt Bonuses: 4-6wkts +3pts 7-10wkts +6pts Hat-trick +6pts Fielding: Each catch +1pt Wkt-kpr: Each stumping/catch +1pt If
you select a player who doesn’t play in a match, you will score 0 points for
that player. Rained-off matches –
points accumulated will count. Joker: Every entry will be allowed to play a
‘joker’ where all points that day will be doubled. To qualify,
contact must be made to me orally, by email or phone, BEFORE THE COIN IS TOSSED
on the day of that particular match. Once a joker has been played, the player
cannot change his/her mind. NB: The joker can only be played on one day
(i.e. if there are two league games on one weekend, the day must be specified
for the joker) Transfers Every
Transfer IN costs £3 each or re-select your whole team at the same time for
just £6. You can make as many transfers as you wish during the
season. Transfers must be made orally,by email or telephone to S Staveley,
before the start of a game (ie the TOSS OF THE COIN), and payment must be made
that weekend to me or your team captain. It is up to you to calculate ratings
so that transfers do not exceed your maximum allowance (40points).
